how bad is vicoden for you?
Question:
Answers:
Vicodin or any other narcotic pain medication is extremely addictive and can cause alot of health problems such as; liver damage, damage to your esophagus, stomach, heart, and of course your brain.Opiate medications such as Vicodin, can cause permanent changes in your brain chemistry.Unless you need this medication for legitimate pain and are taking it as directed by your doctor you are at great risk of becoming a drug addict.I know this from personal experience. At age 12 I began getting severe migraine headaches and was given Tylenol #3 with codeine.I really liked the way it mad me feel so I started to use it more often and just to feel good, eventually I moved on to much stronger drugs such as Vicodine,Demerol,Diluadid, and Oxycodone. Then on to Heroin.I am clean and off drugs now,but it is very difficult to stop when you start and the withdrawal symptoms are very pain full.Drugs ruined my life for 22 years.PLEASE stop now b-4 it's too late!

it is not addicting if you use as prescribed if you abuse it, it is. and withdrawal is a very painful 10-14 days. i mean it hurts.
it is very addictive, and it can over a time, cause major problems with your body, including your heart--it is a major med and it is on the controlled list--please be careful using it, and it should be closely monitored by a doctor
Vicodin is a narcotic and yes it can be very addicting. Depending on what reason you are taking this for it should only be taken when prescribed by a doctor and for a short amount of time. If it was prescibed for a long period of time then you should be under direct supervision of your doctor to make sure it is not becoming addictive. It is very highly addictive in a very short amount of time and in time when addicted you will need and want higher doses which in turn can turn into an overdose. Good Luck!! It is highly addictive. The biggest problem is that Vicoden contains acetaminophen (Tylenol), which can really screw up your liver when you take it in large quantities. Most people that take Vicoden recreationally also drink, which intensifies the damaging effects of acetaminophen.
TERRIBLY BAD! highly addictive - had to go to rehab and that still didn't work. stay away if you can - if you can't take ONLY as directed and only for as long as necessary or you will end up in bad shape. trust me i've been there, withdrawal is pure hell.
