Armpit shaving?

Is there anyone out there whose armpit lymph nodes swell a bit and are sore after shaving? This happens to me. and I'm not sure why.

Why are the ends of our fingernails white, and why do they grow back?

shaving you pits irritates the skin, and this lets in small amounts of cutaneous bacteria (those that are used to living outside of the body normally).the lymph nodes sense this invasion of unknown bacteria (included fungi, etc.) and they rev up to fight of the unknowns.this rev up increases the size and this enlargement causes swelling and discomfort.

maybe you are hurting a bit your skin so maybe you can try changing your razor brand if this continue to happen ask a doctor

try using conditioner to shave with .and dont shave every time you take a shower..like shave every other day good luck ♥

I use to have the same problem. With me it depends on the soap or shaving cream I am using. The razor may be to dull. It only happens in the summer. I think it may also be clogged pores causing the lymph nodes to swell.

what are you using as a shaving cream? soap, cream, water? when you shave the hair folicles get irritated and can swell, also if its a very close shave you might be getting a mild case of razor burn. if you can, don't shave for a while(7- 10 days so your arm pit can heal) then shave and see what the reaction is.

Try using a new razor, or designate a specific razor for when you shave your pits. Using the same razor to shave other parts will dull it faster. Also there is a great cream called "Coochy Shave." It works really well. I used to get nasty razor burn until I started using that. You can get it here:
