where is the most painful place to get a tattoo on the body?

Question:
i have heard that it hurts a lot to get a tattoo on the lower back..

Answers:
I think the Toe or foot. I have one on the lower back and it wasn't that bad

Other Answers:
foot or neck my neck hurt a little bit.but really i think its all about the pain tollerance

the eye & the clitoris would probably rate as the most painful. As a tattoo artist and a man with many tattoos, the lower back, where the back hits the butt is the worst. In fact, many customers complain about the butt area as being the most painfull!

i know a guy who got his daughers name tattooed as a necklace in the center of his chest (he doesnt really have any muscle right in the middle, so it was right on the bone. he said that one really really hurt.

anywhere where there's alot of nerves or not alot of flesh close to the skin. so, anywhere on the spine, elbow, face, and neck. i would think that the elbow would at least feel the weirdest if not hurt the most.

You'll get alot of different answers on this one. I have 4 tatts and my most painful one was around my belly button. I have 1 on my left shoulder that took almost 5 hours (1 sitting) to complete and that didn't bother me near as bad as the little one around my belly button. ummmm. try the inside of your lip. ;-) I personally guarantee it is more painful than fingers or backs or toes ;-) but I've never gotten one on my penis. that could be sensitive. lips are incredibly painful though.

I would definitely say the genitals. Anybody who gets it there are masochistic.

any part that real "boney" . i have one on my ankle/foot and was told by the tattoo artist it's one of the most painful.

On your rectum. [1] Areas of the body that have greater concentrations of nerves and bone tend to be the most sensitive for tattooing. The popular ankle happens to be very painful due to the lack of fat and thick muscle tissue. Shoulders and upper arms are popular not only for the ease with which the art can be shown, but the muscle padding makes it a bit easier to get skin art there.

[2] According to Hudson (1999), the most painful areas for men are considered to be the abdomen, spine, and chest. The most painful areas for women are considered the spine and ankle. The least painful areas for men are the buttocks and arm, and the least painful areas for women are the abdomen, buttocks, thigh and shoulder. In general, the areas near joints will hurt more because there are more nerves located there.
