Is there an ENT in the house?

Question:
My son had a tube in his r. ear for nearly 2 yrs. It was only put in for fluid building up, but he never suffered from ear infections. Since it was in, he's had numerous infections. It was even cultured at one point to check for mrsa. which was (-). He had a yeast instead, so they used gentian violet. Well, the tube has finally fallen out and he has had 3 infections since. Why? What is going on?

Answers:
Maybe he still needs a tube in it for it to drain. Take him back to the ENT or at least call his office.
