What keeps me going is an alternating combination of curiosity, faith, hope, and the younger generation.
Curiosity -- I want to see how it all turns out
Faith -- it just HAS to get better, somehow
Hope -- it will get better
The Younger Generation -- the energy, naivete, optimism and pessimism they embody (having been young once and lived through it subjectively it's interesting to see them going through similar things; and I realize more and more that all of us have so much more in common than not)
