It is your thyroid. How do I know cause I have the same symptoms. Get yourself a good endocrine doc - get a needle aspiration biopsy as soon as possible to determine if it is cancerous or just sitting in your neck driving you crazy. You need more then normal rest and sleep. Take Aleve to help the symptoms. Do you have any swelling in the area? Difficulty swallowing? A good ear-nose-throat doc is also needed to work with your endo doc. Don't get all worked up over the C word. Most people do not die from thyroid cancer. Do not eat any soy or estrogen any thing. If you are on the pill you need to find other means of birth control. Take a good multi-vitamin and mineral supplement with your meals. Eliminate caffeine completely from your diet. If i can do it you can too! The docs love to play because they don't know the complete answers to glands. Get the book Thyroid for Dummies. Helps you understand that you are not crazy. I can't wait till I am finished menopause so then I can get mine removed. My entire left side is nothing but cysts that throbs constantly. I have been advised to wait till my body is calmed down with female hormones before removing it. i can't wait. Believe that - a person asking to get their throat slit? HA!
Get back in your cage and don't worry so much! (In other words, if the doctor didn't find anything wrong, there's nothing wrong. If you don't believe that, go to another doctor for a second opinion. It's your money...)
