Why does squinting help if your not wearing your glasses?
Question:
Answers:
Its all about accomodation. Naturally the eye can focus on an object.. near or far. when correction is needed.. "squinting" helps because it forces the lens in the back of the eye (the one you cant see) to change shape a little.. sometimes that can have a + effect when you are looking at something.
In regards to the comment below me here..
The pupil reacts to light. It has nothing to do with accomodation.
Other Answers:
you squint because it helps you to have better focus on the words.
It temporarily adjusts your pupils . . . or something like that.
you squint to keep some of the sun out of ur eyes so not as much sun gets in.
i think cuz it can physicly push the lens into a diffrent better viewing shape also if there is extra light it can cut some out
The lens is held up by many different muscles and filaments. When you squint, you pull the lens in different directions thus changing the focus on the retina. Therefore, you are acting as though youhave a pair of glasses on by changing the focal length.
