My doctor says I have high cholesterol. What should I do?

What kinds of foods should I take more of or avoid? Apparently I topped the "bad cholesterol" scale. Will exercise help? Are there herbs or natural cures that will put my cholesterol levels back in check? Any other advice will be helpful. Thanks.

Hello, sorry to hear your health is not so good right now, but the good news is you can change your cholestrol by cutting out foods. I would check with your doctor to ensure exactly the best way to lower it. However to get you started cut out greasy foods, cheese's, butter's, and anything really high in fat. I have heard parships and radishes can lower your colesterol. Sorry if this doesn't help. It will give you the basic information you need. Exercise will help, even walking 30 minutes a day. Eat more whole grains, more fruits and vegetables, fewer meat and dairy products and carefully avoid much saturated and hydrogenated fat and oil, substituting moderate amounts of poly- and mono-unsaturated fats.
