Stretch and stretch some more. And then do it some more. Try yoga as well.
OH MYGOSH! I SO HAVE WANTED TO DO THE SLPITS FOREVER! i was in ballet for 7 or 8 years and also in gymnastics..but i was never flexible for the splits .wish i could help you.just stretch alot and excersize alot and practice your splits!
stretch, a lot. constantly push your limits and eventually your limits will expand until you eventually do a split.
keep stretching. just little by little. don't over do it.
Practice, practice, practice. You have to stretch your muscles until they are stretched far enough to do it. It takes time.so try everyday.
Ashtanga and Bikram yoga, then ballet. There are also special stretching machines you can use. Hot yoga will give you great SAFE results QUICK!
Take yoga or pilates, I am now taking yoga and I am more flexible then I was even in highschool! One word of caution, don't push it, stretch slowly, a pulled muscle hurts like crazy!!

self experience, and the YMCA
this is how we'd do it in ballet class: we'd stretch all we could and then we'd bounce our leg, and then we'd hold the stretch, and then bounce, etc. etc. and each time we'd hold the stretch it would be a little further. doing this regularly will improve your flexibility. do it with your instructors supervision though so you don't hurt yourself.
well u cant technically "learn" to be flexible. but u can do things to help. ive danced for 13 years and i can tell u that u need to drink alot of water.dont know why but thats what i was told. stretch allllllllllll the time. omg. all the time. lol. make sure to keep protein in ur diet and keep ur legs warm as much as possible by dancing, runnning, walking, anything. once the muscles are warm they'll stretch alot easier.

good luck .ohhh yeaa

STRETCH
The only way to achieve your goal is to practice! To constantly stretch, when you wake up, in the afternoon, when you go to bed, all the time. Just remember, NEVER BOUNCE!! That only damages your ligiments and tendons. The best stretch I have found is to sit on the floor with your legs straight out. Now bring one leg in toward you so that the bottom of your foot lies against your inner thigh. Your legs will look like either the letter "d" or "b" just not rounded. Then reach with both hands toward the foot farthest away from you and hold it for 20 seconds or so, switch and repeat. Each time you do the excercise, you will be able to reach further and further, finally grabbing past your foot and resting your head on your knee. Rember not to bounce. Good luck!
