Why does your arm feel sore after getting a jab?

Question:
I just took a hepatitis A and B jab and my arm is sore! Why is that?

Answers:
because of the fluid they put in.

Some shots have more fluid and some of the fluids are thicker than the others. The more and thicker the fluid, the more it displaces muscle tissue in your are. That is what causes the pain to last. The needle stick itself doesn't hurt for long. The fluid it self can also cause stinging.

Some injections dissolve in fat and some in muscle. The bigger the muscle the less it hurts

The medication sometimes makes the arm bruise (jabbing) and sore. when meds are injected into a muscle it hurts because the muscle is doing the work to push it thru your body as well as blood.. anytime a muscle gets hit or pinched it hurts cause it takes it and not absorbs it! kinda like an egg and cotton u throw an egg it breaks u throw cotton and nothing! one takes it and the other aborbs it! next time take it in the fatty place near your butt it will hurt much less and still be as effective!
