serious question.addi. to masturbating?!?

Question:
okay this is a serious question.not just something someone stupid would ask.

every since i could remember i have been masterbating everyday (i used to think that i would get pregnant by doing it when i was a little girl)
but now grown up i can't help but stop. i feel like a guy! i do it at least 3 times a day (ON THE LOW END) some times it interfers with my daily life.

i know this is a silly question but is anything that i can do to stop..maybe go running? i've tried eating but i gained so much weight and when i wasn't preoccupied i was masturbating again.

are there specialists for this?

Answers:
First of all you must understand that masturbation is normal. However, an addiction is something that one has no control over . In the case of masturbation, if it interferes with your daily life, then you need to find a way to control yourself. 1. Trigger- Find out what is your trigger and resist masturbating because you experience the trigger. A trigger may be the sight of a boy, something on TV or even a telephone onversation. Some triggers can be avoided and the impact of others can be reduced simply becasue you are aware of them.
2. Thought control- you can practice meditating , praying or even concentrating on a non sexual object.
3. Association- Often masturbation results from associating with persons who stimulate such thoughts. If you eliminate the associates, you may eliminate the desire to do the act.
4. Change your perspective. If you cannot get your daily chores, school or work activities done because of masturbation, try rewarding yourself for achieving your goals by masturbating. Thus you will be more productive because you will masturbate only if you have done what you set out to do.
5. Find alternative interests. Jogging, learning a skill or using your time to help someone else can be useful in controlling the addiction to masturbation.
5. Get a friend. Masturbation interferes with socialization because it does not require anyone else. The problem is that it makes you more lonely and antisocial. Also the lack of a close friend means that you lack an appreciation of natural affection and therefore masturbation is a substitute for affection, friendship and love.
6. See a specialist. This is a last resort and should only be sought if you have tried the above unsuccessfully. The reason for avoiding the specialist is primarily becasue you will be dealing with his or her mores and may develop feelings of guilt because you are often encouraged to relate the desire to masturbate to past experiences, when in fact you developed an addiction because you encouraged a habit.

There is nothing wrong with masturbation. Just wash your hands afterwards :-)

WOW! you are one smoking hot mamacita! I would go to a psychologist and see if they have any recommendations for specialists in the area of sex addiction. (I think your preoccupation would qualify for that.)

Um, why is it a bad thing? Its a natural reaction to your body. Its also a very good way of relieving stress.

I would recommend talking to your doctor. If its interfering with your daily life, that is a problem, but I would start with your doctor and then go from there.

You could always try setting dates with yourself, make time you know? That way it doesn't interfere.

go see a sex therapist, maybe they can give you some good advice. three words:
FIND A GUY

Go for it. masturbation is lots of fun, plus an inexpensive hobby to boot. If it's a problem for you and your family, it's always best to see a specialist about it. On the other hand if you are comfortable and have a fully functional life, then you're okay.

Go to the doctor ! This is NOT normal if you have a husband. I could understand if you were single. Why do you have to masturbate when you have a husband? Strange? He must not be satisfying you.

There is nothing wrong with masterbation. Besides my hubbie, my vibrator is my best friend!!
