Mine is still itching - got it in May. I use Black Cat tatoo salve on it & that helps a lot. It is still healing - & maybe you have some reaction to the ink. Good luck!!
It is normal for a tatoo to itch because it is a scab that is trying to heal. Most importantly - don't scratch it or you risk infection. Just make sure you clean it twice a day with antibacterial soap and keep it moisurized and out of the sun. Nothing to worry about with the ithching, though - mine was the same way. My tatoo artist actually told me it would itch after a day or so, and it did but it healed quite nicely.
Yeah, my tattoo did itch for a few days. Just make sure you follow the directions that the artist gave you. (He/she *did* give directions, right?)
Both of mine itched, just make sure you keep lots of lotion on it and try to avoid scratching (infection)

Yeah it's because it's healing. Just make sure not to scratch it or you may loose color!! And when/if it scabs don't pick the scabs off!
yea.they itch big time, like any scab,but don't pick or scratch it! it is technically a soar that you want to heal well.it scars and your tat is screwed up. keep A&D ointment on it till the itching stops.

Your tattoo will itch for about 2 weeks because it is healing. It is just like a cut it will take time to heal. My husbands took about 3 weeks.
While it is in the healing process, Yes sometimes they itch. I know this from my b/f who has a couple. Just keep applying a lotion to it for several days.
