Lortab RX declined missed my Dr,appt. RX refill date Dr. declined until reschdules appt.Have really suffered

64 female have had migraines all my life. Got pregnant with 1st child because WERE JUST MARRIED & POOR.. dr said could run tests $$ or just becare one month. The first day off , guess what.I am pregnant
This son a Pediatrician at Dallas Children's Hospital. At age 50 had bursitis bad cld not turn fry pan over so wld have one of my 3 children help. Went to arthritis Dr. ion Kerrvile..she gave me cordisone shot in both elbows...wow what difference..DR. SAID IF IT HELPED YOU THAT MUCH and put me on 10 mg a day. Had a neighbor hounding me DO NOT TAKE IT. My husband replied if a Dr. okayed it than it can't be bad...yehh right...had my Driver's license renewed and didn't recognize myself looked like I weighed 300 lbs. I got off that medication and about 3 months later I ached so bad..I mean ache- bones felt ice cold-not skin...fatigue and all of the above...it has been a battle as dr. in kerrvile put e on oxycontin...and Patch oxycontin was a 3 month battle..but I made.

Jeez, why do they keep giving people that crap (heavy duty painkillers) instead of looking a little deeper to see what the real problem is. It would spare everyone a lot of misery in the long run.

Of course you are having withdrawals. If I were you, I would just stay the hell off those heavy duty painkillers since you made it this far, but you better be looking for a specialist, a geriatrician or someone who has a much more in depth knowledge of pain management in people over 55.

Change doctors. Keep looking for a doctor who can give you something other than that zombie crap.

There are a lot of older people like yourself who unwittingly found themselves in the exact same predicament. People get addicted to those as easy as any "street drug" and the withdrawals and cravings are just as bad.

Definitley find a geriatrician in your area, even if someone has to drive you to another town.

That's really sad and I hope you get some relief soon! Best of luck to you.
