What's wrong with my back??

Question:
It has been hurting all day and it started when I woke up this morning. The problem area starts right above where my backside starts and hurts all the way up to where my bra starts. I've been taking ibuprofen all day, and it makes it okay, but it never completely goes away. I can't lay in the bed because it hurts to lie flat. It's almost twelve a.m. here, and I'm miserable. I'm going to the doctor if it's not better by tomorrow morning. Any ideas what could be wrong??

Answers:
You probably slept wrong. Consider sleeping in a different position tonight or rather think about shifting your pillows on your bed in a different postion other than on your head.

Other Answers:
urinary or bladder infection

Bra strap pain is a symptom that your back cannot support your breasts. I don't know how well-endowed you are, but that sounds like the most likely problem. Heat might help - try a heating pad or hot water bottle. Maybe you strained a muscle, maybe you hurt a disc.
If you work at a desk - make sure that you are sitting properly.

Wow, a sudden pain without any prior history? I would definitely make an appointment right away. Back problems have been indirectly related to other parts of the body, sometimes in a very obscure way. For one, one guy who was having liver problems always said that his back was hurting. I don't know how they are connected, but it goes to show that some things are obscurely related. I don't mean to scare ya. I mean, the guy I mentioned drank a six-pack of pop a day, and that was the reason for him. For you it's likely something different. try putting a warm towel in the microwave, for 3 minutes, let it cool down a bit and place it in the area of pain,it will feel better, more likey you pulled a nerve, or muscular, either way your doctor will give you a pain killer, and a muscle relaxant, my advice: don't waste your time with your primary doc, go straight to a chriropractor.
