Whay cant I sleep! and why am I so tierd?

Every night for the past few weeks I cant reach the rem state, I sort of doze, its like I am awake with my eyes closed, then all of a sudden its morning and I am so tierd. I dont smake or drink, I am very healthy and I get 5-7 hours of "sleep" a night. whats wrong and what can I do? also what can help me to stay awake at work?

5-7 hours of sleep is not enough. Stress will cause that to happen. I am in the same situation right now. It is starting to get better. If it doesn't clear up, I would go to the doctor.
maybe you worry about something, try sleeping pills for awhile and don't drink coffee or tea in the evening!
i prefer mountain dew to stay awake at work and after a couple of those i go home work out and by 10 i'm in bed ready to zonk out like a light. i also just got one of those "super foam" pillows so it makes a big difference in my comfort level.
Sound's like you are experiencing a bout of Insomnia.If you have alot of stress in your life right now it could be one of the major factor's.Normally Insomnia comes and goes but if you experience it more then 4 week's straight seek medical help.
