Does Omega oil really help improve childrens concentration ?

Question:
I've been trying it with mine but no results so far!! Any info?

Answers:
There are many studies which do suggest in creased omega 3 in children helps improve concentration. A guy called Prof Peet where I work has done research on using it on people with mental health problems too to help improve mood and concentration. If you want research look at medcal archives or sites such as www.nutrition.org.uk or the food standards agency have good links. Other steps may be needed such as cutting out as many E numbers as possible too and reducing caffeine and sugar.

My sister put her two kids on fish oils and she has found that their behaviour and concentration has improved greatly.
How are you getting it into them? Diet or supplements?
If supplements, stand over them and make sure they're not spitting the capsule out! Or hiding it - check your video machine!
I haven't researched it myself. It could take a month to 6 weeks to kick in though. But there are so many other factors to consider too. Lifestyle, age , learning ability etc etc. Too much tv, lack of sleep, food additives and so on and so on.
Not really the best way is to make sure they have a carbohydrate packed breakfast cereal like Shreddies of Weetabix
Ummmmm, what was the question?!
My son is on Omega 3 fish oils by haliborange, it took about 3 months for the improvement to show, but yes his concentration and behaviour has improved and he acts a bit older, i would recommend anyone to put their children on them.
It really does make a big difference, but takes about three months before there is any noticeable improvement. It's also superb for Adults!
intensive research has shown that childrens concentrtion does improve with a daily in take of omega 3....i have worked with children with ADHD who were taking in=tense medication which their parents thought were turning them into zombies - i say anything natural to help asisst cant hurt.
