I got a ear cartilage piercing (Anti-Tragus) more than a month ago. Now its all swoll and purple.Whats wrong?

Question: I got it a month ago and now recently it just started getting swollen and nasty...Its kinda purple. I dont know what to do with it cuz i dont want to take it out I love this piercing!! I have many other piercings but this one i dont want to get rid of. Everyone tells me its infected to take it out but Im being really stubborn... What should I do about this? I recently changed the piercing because thats what happened with my nose piercing when it got infected. Well if that doesnt work on my ear what should i do?

Take it out. It is infected. You can get it redone if and when it heals. And it won't heal unless you take the darn thing out!

Sounds like an infection, better take it out before your ear rots off, and put some anti-bacterial meds on it, SOON!

It is infected. I think you have to remove it and get it healed up. Being stubborn will not heal it, it will only make it worse.
It is possible that your system is allergic to the device you put in.

Sounds like it is infected try putting some neosporin on it and when putting the earring back in..If that don't work I would take it out cause you can actually lose your ear lobe from a infection..

first off go to the place where u got it done at. it sounds to me they pierced it on a vein. that happend to my sister and it got horrible. so go there and have them to chck it out. they should give u some kind of solution or something for it. more an likely they will tell u to take it out. ask them if u can get it done for free if it was their mistake. good luck
