Answers:
if you are the idealistic type, you're gonna have to yield a bit towards their tendency in order to survive. But that doesn't mean that you will compromise what you believe in. The corporate world is a "dog-eat-dog" environment, and if you are not tough enough to play the field, you'd better get out of there before you even hurt yourself in the process, trying to accept them when you really can't.

On the other hand, maybe you'd like to consider stretching your patience a bit and see if you could still tolerate them. Otherwise, if the game's getting too foul for you, then ship out before you even compromise your office etiquettes and get into trouble with office psychopaths and power trippers.

If you can't afford to kiss your boss' ***, that's another reason why you shouldn't be there. Do what will make you happy. No regrets.

Why don't you go POSTAL! What are you waiting for? A written invitation?
Have you talked to your supervisor about how you feel? Do you go to meetings and inservices? If you feel in your gut that this isn't working for you, maybe it's time to find another job. Try to maintain YOUR decorum while your still with your current employer. As long as you're doing what you're supposed to do, don't worry about the others. But consider another place of employment and be sure to put in your two week notice.
