How does one assimilate into the community after mental health issues after 18 months for a job?
Question:
Answers:
Stick with the basics. If they want to know about why you've been out of work for so long, tell them you had health issues that had to be resolved. It's okay to tell them that you really don't like to talk about it, but are ready to get back into the work force. Beyond that, show them what you can do and tell them about your skills. That's all they need to know. Drop in at my 360 if you have more questions, I can try to help you out.

You usually dont want to lie but the truth is too much information and not your perspective employer's business. If you have kids, say you took the time off the be with them but decided after 18 months to return to the workplace. Maybe you have a grandparent that needed constant supervision and a nursing home was not an option so you stayed home to help until they got better. Come up with something that is believable.
