it's about a year that im in Canada so i should speak english...i speak english but the problem is when i speak to someone he/she can not understand the words that im saying...i really dont know what is wrong with me...is it because i did not speak english before? will i get better as time passes? do i need to talk more? or something is wrong with me?
plz help me because it really bugs me....

Answers:
you didn't mention what country you are originally from? do you still have an accent when speaking english? if so, this could be 90% of the problem, as you pronounce words differently and makes you harder to understand...plus, if you are new to English, you probably aren't the best at working sentences and this can cause another problem.

if it's really a problem, you can always see a vocal coach or speech therapist to help you with your dialect, but I would say that practice is really your best bet.

It may have nothing to do with your vocabulary. Its probably your accent. Do you have a strong one?
My best suggestion is to just keep practicing. I bet you aren't as bad as you think. Find someone in person and/or online and talk to them. Practice makes perfect!
Try to slow your speach down a bit. When you have an accent it is hard to follow unless it is done more slowly. You may or may not notice that some Canadians talk a little slower than you are used to. When someone is exposed to an accent for awhile they develope an ear for it and as time progresses your speach will improve.
i think your english is fine... maybe you need a little more practice to express your self freely without hesitation. maybe people dont understand much your accent because more of the canadian people speaks french right? their accent is different or maybe it is better if you start learning french.. .
