Money-Happiness-Health-Bi... - WHAT GIVES?

Question:
Just started the bankruptcy process. After a lot of thinking I realized that even if someone gave me enough money to pay off my debt & then some I would be no better off. Sure my debt would be gone, but I'd still be right back to the same stressful job I've had for almost 10 years that's made me so miserable & tired my Dr. has taken me off work for a month because of stress/anxiety & fatigue (Flight Attendant). I haven't been home for a holiday or even a holiday weekend in over 9 yrs. I live in one city but my base is in another & I am a stand by flight attendant (no schedule - I sit by the phone in a hotel room, that I PAY FOR and wait for scheduling to give me a trip, any trip-any time of the day, maybe 1 day, maybe 5 days). That's my life 20 days out of the month. Can't quit because I need the health ins. I just want a job with a regular schedule. Enough to live comfortably. I love dogs and would love a job working w/ them, but that's mostly volunteer work. Any suggestions? - LOST!

u are not the only one in that situation...I am also......best thing to do is focus on living life...money is secondary...I took a less paying job and don't even work 4 months out of the year and I feel happy...forget about cash and stick close to the ones you love ...i'm out
i am so sorry, you are very lost.
You are not happy with your work, then you must look for other line of work.
You may need to go back to school part time to get the trainning that you need to do other jobs.
You are right about the money thing, it will not change anything. I know, i been thru all of that, i lost over a million dollars in the stock market in 2000.
You also may need a doctor's help, i did.
You may feel helpless and trap, because your are in deep depression.
There are a lot of good meds that you can take for awhile.
It helped me alot.
Move to Alaska and get yourself a couple of acres and get those dogs and animals you always wanted and then calm down and enjoy life..... Good Luck...
there are so many things out there you can do...some might require some schooling, but it's more than worth that to get out of your current situation. you mention dogs - how about a veterinary technician? dog groomer? dog trainer? dog walker? humane society worker? start a doggy day-care? who knows!! try looking online and everywhere else to get some ideas of what you might enjoy. If that doesn't work out - try looking at Vocational schools - usually the courses are fairly short and will land you in the work force soon after graduation. Also try to use any other work experience you have to your advantage...was there something you did before this job that you could expand on?

good luck - and yes...do whatever it takes to find something that you enjoy, there's no point in being so miserable!
