Are condoms really effective?
Question:
Answers:
Did you know that the HIV/AIDS virus is 100 times smaller than the pours of a condom. INFO came from CDC.
The condom was designed only to stop the transfer of semen.
The only way to keep a condom from having a chance of breaking, is to keep them at room temp or in the refrigerator until ready for use.
Age, heat and body sweat is what makes them break.

they are not 100% safe..just dont do it
The chances of a condom breaking vary wildly.
Even when used properly, condoms are only about 99% effective.
condoms do NOT prevent the transmition of STD's...a lot are from skin to skin contact.
Don't they tell you to leave the end of the condom loose so the sperm can go in it? You don't wear it tight where is can break through. It only protects from pregnancy and not from STDs. Most men wear condoms and ejaculate outside.
Have you ever held a condom in your hands, stretched it out and seen what it can do? It's almost impossible to break one with human use. Seriously play with one, you can probably fit it around a watermelon...no man has girth like that! So the answer is YES, they are 99% effective no matter what your boyfriend says!
I was wondering the same thing today at the patent office.
I went to the Patent Office to register some of my inventions.
I went to the main desk to sign in and the lady at the desk had a form that had to be filled out. She wrote down my personal info and then asked me what I had invented.
I said, "A folding bottle."
She said, "Okay, what do you call it?"
I said "A Fottle."
"What else do you have?"she asked me.
I said "A folding carton."
"And what do you call it?"
I said "A Farton."
She snickered and said, "Those are silly names for products! And one of them sounds kind of crude."
I was so upset by her comment that I grabbed the form and left the office without even telling her about my folding bucket.

when used properly and before their expiration date condoms are the best line of defense out there for STD prevention and also work effectively to prevent pregnancy. you can trust them if you use them right. a guest speaker showed us that she could put both of her arms up to the elbow into an old condom before it broke and said, "imagine how much safer it would be on something much smaller and when they aren't expired."
I make my boyfriend use a condom and I'm on birth control. double protection never hurts.
The observed failure rate for pregnancy prevention is 10%. That is when they are used as intended (Penis in vagina). It has a higher rate of failure when it comes to STD's when used as intended.
When not used as intended (in the mouth, in the rectum), the failure rate is higher.
Prevention of an accident is done by abstinence!
How about the chances of coming off while in the act?
