From omeprazole and anti acid syrup w/c one is best for gastrite?
Question:
Answers:
I would suggest a 2 week course of omeprazole, if that didn't work, then you might as well consult a doctor so he could recommend an endoscopy and a possible biopsy of your gastric mucosa, for all you know, it could be H. pylori and he would recommend antibiotics for that.
Definitely Omeprazole. It STOPS the acid from being produced more. All antacid syrups do are NEUTRALIZE whatever acid is already there. You want to treat the cause.
If it is a minor condition, antacid syrups work as well. Like occasional heartburn but you soound like you need something like Omeprazole.
Go consult a doctor. You obviously need medical attention.
