I can't speak for all men, but for me, the only time I fall asleep right afterwards, is if my wife-or lover- is curled up in my embrace and it is late at night. If the sexual encounter was any time other than night time, I prefer to lay with her and talk afterwards.

All men do not fall asleep after sex. A period of limerance will affect all men, because sex causes the release of hormones and neurotransmitters that actually cause drowsiness in men, so really, the only real way to prevent men from falling asleep after sex is to probably do it somewhere other than in bed. The drowsiness, lethargy and all of that generally doesn't last long, but if you're in bed and already reclined...well...that just makes it a lot easier for a man to slip into sleepyland.
