what is involved in forensic psychiatry??
Question:
Answers:
Forensic Psychiatry is related to insanity. The word "insanity" does not connote any definite medical entity, but is solely a legal and sociological concept. Accordingly, the term "insane" is used to designate any member of the community who is unable on account of mental disease to look after himself and manage his own affairs, or is dangerous to himself or others. The law assumes that a person who is insane is not resposible for his actions, and therefore, if such insane person commits a crime he is not punished for it. More and more attention is nowadays being given to mental aspects of crime but the practice of different criminal courts varies considerably.
