Why does my whole body sometimes jump when I am falling asleep?

Question:
My boyfriend said when it happens to him he's almost asleep & has the feeling of falling.

Answers:
Your tendons and muscles have become tense and strained throughtout the day....... as you lay there your body and muscles start to relax and that is when you get the sudden jumping sensation that your speaking about its your muscles relaxing on you so they jump.. nothing to worry about ...
Sorry to say so, but seeing your face makes me guess that you're a werewolf. Did your boyfriend tell you when this happened ? Was it close to midnight ?

Woohooo !!
It is all of your bodys muscles relaxing simultaneously. Causes a jolt, but notice you always fall right back into a deep sleep... Notice your muscles the next time it happens!
