Why are left hand and fingers badly swollen?

Question: I didn't hurt my hand only my left shoulder. My fingers are hard to bend and hurt when I move them. My hand looks swollen too. I'm going to the doctor today, but just wanted to find out beforehand what could cause this.

i would tell you to go to the doctor, but you already are
it may have some sort of connection to hurting your shoulder im not sure
