This is a dumb question but I really don't know...?

Dear GlitterGirl:
When I was younger, I smoked on a daily basis. The active ingredient, THC, is stored in your fat when ingested in large enough quantities. The quantities ingested from 'second-hand smoke', whether from cigars, cigarettes, or pot, is not going to show up on a test for narcotics or hallucinogens, unless either, a) you were standing so close to the smokers that you received a 'contact high', or, b) you felt (for some other reasons) as though you were affected by the drug itself. You can research the effects to determine whether you ingested/inhaled sufficient smoke to have received a
contact high', but my guess is that since you did not indicate feeling any differently than normal, you just did not probably get enough THC in your body to show up on any test normally given by employers, etc. However, if you DID get a 'contact high', you MAY have ingested enough to register on a test, but rest easy: the small amount in your body would be flushed out within 48-72 hours, so it does not seem like you have anything to worry about. But you SHOULD have those clothes DRY CLEANED to remove any trace of the substance, because it has a very distinctive odor.
I am NOT a doctor, but unlike almost ANY doctor you will meet, I have many years of experience smoking, and I can tell you with certainty that unless you felt the symptoms of being 'high', you have nothing to worry about. Except, of course, unless you are paranoid, which incidentally, is a symptom common to those who get high for the first few times. That too also passes.

NOT A CHANCE.
not after three weeks.
na..
Possibly but it has been 3 weeks and that is enough time to clear from your system the norm is 4 weeks but you weren't smoking it . Right?
i seriously doubt it...
if you were behind them and trying to inhale all the smoke you can maybe... but other than that nah.
If you weren't taking drags off theirs, I highly doubt it.
Yes. But they can tell if it is secondhand. This happened to my cousin. She was around people who were smoking, and when she went for a drug test ( we have them in school all the time since everyone does drugs practically ) and it came back positive, but the level wasn't high enough or something, so they knew it was secondhand.
So don't worry. :)
Not probable. Now, in an enclosed space like a car...who knows?
NO!
That's not a dumb question.
You won't test positive.
No. Absolutely not.
I'm with the no vote.
Not unless you were smoking it yourself. If you were smoking yourself you could test positive.
No
Well I think you will not. Smoking is bad for your health you know, so if I were you, I would not test it. if you test it on screen you will be in big trouble.
Absolutely! If you were close enough to inhale the second hand smoke it is possible you could result in a positive screen!

Dear Worried About 2nd Hand Marijuana Smoke,
TeenHealthFX is glad that you chose not to smoke. It is often hard for teens (and adults, too) to resist peer pressure and to attend events where other people are participating in illegal or unhealthy activities. Trying to find friends who share your interest in staying drug-free as well as activities that promote health behaviors may help to ensure that you can stick to your drug-free lifestyle.
Second-hand marijuana smoke (that may or may not produce "a buzz") CAN show up on urine tests. But, it will only produce a positive result the first day or so after breathing in the smoke. Also, the smoke would have to be so thick that it would irritate the eyes of both smokers and passive smoke breathers. You did not specify why you get drug tested, but you could be risking a lot by exposing yourself to marijuana smoke.
