When I worked at a health food store, they said that eating Brewer's Yeast helped repel mosquitos.
Not sure but I got an email today saying to get rid of outside mosquitos but a small white bowl with a little water and a few drop of Joy Lemon dish soap nearby. They said the bugs are attracted to it and will drink it when they land and die. Don't know if it works or not but wouldn't hurt to try.
Garlic some say however "Skin so Soft" lotion is said to work very well applied to the skin.
not only is garlic a natural repellant to mosquitos and ticks, but it will also keep away all of the ladies.
I have lived in northern Canada and the only real natural defense is "mental attitude" believe it or not! The more one really accepts just being in Mosquitos home territory the less they seem to bite..or stick..whatever!!
