Question:
[Serious and unbiased answers ONLY please.]
Answers:
Try warm salt water. 8 oz. glass water/ 1 teaspoon salt. The salt makes your swelling go down and neutralizes the burn. It's the pH that does it. Don't be afraid of trying it. It also could be the startings of a cancher sore ( Over the counter remedies available)or an absessed tooth, so if it persisits more than a few days, and you have tried the salt water, then see your dentist right away.
NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE PEROXIDE FULL STRENGTH IN YOUR MOUTH!! PEROXIDE ALONE CAN ACT AS A CARCINOGEN AND CAN DESTROY TISSUES THAT ARE WOUNDED. ALWAYS DILUTE 50/50 W/ WATER. AND NEVER INGEST!

gargling or swishing with warm salt water is good for cuts or sores in the gums. the salt helps to dry them out.
You can By swishing salt water because i have heard that works..often though that takes awhile to help get rid of the cut..but what you can do in the mean time is go to the pharmacy and pick up any of the overy the counter anesthetics such as anbesol and oragel..that will help to ease the pain until the cut goes away...i believe the cut keeps getting "re injured" in a sense because the area is swollen and therefore sticks out more than usual....
