Getting hot, shakey?

Question: I was in my nursing class yesturday and I stood up from my desk to go to the back of the room to get my poster. Well, when I stood up and started to walk I had to stop because my face starting feeling real hot and getting flushed and then I felt real weak and I broke out into a really cold sweat and felt shaky. I sat back down and put my head down on my desk for a little while and I was fine. I didn't stand up to fast and I had eaten an hour or so before that. I take inderal hcl 20mg(three times a day ) and qdall(once a day) and I've only been on them for about a week so I don't know Any input would help.

i have the same feeling. as soon as i stand up, the blood rushes to my face and i black out for 5 secs. its nothing to worry, i talkted to the doctor and they said it happens but it is not serious. I freaked out when it happened to me the first time, but no need to worry.

sounds like orthostatic hypotension....if condition continues consult ur DR since on new med.....
