i think its good if u express ur anger, but in a good way. u need talk about wat ur angry about, either to thet person thet made u mad, or to sumone u trust, you'll feel a lot better if u talk it out nicely.
people dont invite you to their birthday parties.
if it is a one time thing,I don't think it will harm you..unless you have a heart condition. If this happens on a regular basis,it probably could cause a heart problem! ask a doctor to be sure!

If you keep anger in, it will only get worse.
That's why it is called "venting". It will build up and you will explode, no not spontaniou combustion, but emotionally.
When you've had enough, you will say something or do something that you will regret or you will hurt someone's feelings.
A good way to express it is when something really gets to you, tell someone.
Or, you could write. I don't know if you're a journal keeping kinda person, but writing really helps me. You could also work out, take all your aggression out while keeping in shape ;)
Anger turned inward equals depression! It's okay to express your anger, as long as it is in a healthy way. Try writing out what you're feeling and what you would say to the person you're angry with. Then, read it aloud to yourself. If you're REALLY angry, punch some pillows, hang a throw rug across a rope clothes line and beat it with a baseball bat, stomp on some styrofoam cups, or scream into your pillow, but get it all out, if possible. When you feel like you are calm enough to express your anger in an assertive way, rather than an aggressive way, then do it! People would really prefer to know how you feel about something--and if it upsets them, they'll eventually get over it. It takes a lot of courage to tell someone you're angry about something! Good luck!
You either explode, gain a striking resemblence to Jack Nicholson, or start a multi-million dollar enhancement pill company fueled by your built up anger.
I tend to keep my anger inside me more but to let it out i do somewhat outrageous things that are somewhat funny. Like in the middle of the mall or by myself in a crowd i will do a hand-stand (i have gotten very good at those over the last couple years) and i find helpfull in releiving the anger or stress that is on my mind.
holding in emotions can cause ulcers, hear attacks, migranes, etc. A healthy way of releasing it is either to talk to a friend to let off some steam or if you can, keep a journal, and/or keep one of those squishy balls filled with like sand in your pocket and squezze it every time you get angry, that way you take out your anger on the little ball.Or excercise daily to release tension
Expressed anger rarely is productive and often causes more anger and conflict. Anger is a necessary emotion that has many benefits. First of all it is a warning mechanism that something is not right. When do you get angry? At who? Where? What do you do when angry?
It is probably best to hold it in until you have time to properly reflect on the situation and settle down a little bit. If you respond to impulse urges you will have problems with friends, family, employers and perhaps the law.

There are great books on anger out there. Therapy helps to examine why you are so angry. You may have a biological predisposition to have a temper and reactive personality. Is your anger caused by anxiety? An anti-anxiety drug may help like Xanax. Many people with anger issues are helped by anti-depressants like Paxil. It is very common for depression to present as anger. Have you ever been screened for ADD or ADHD?

Call your local psychiatric hospital and ask to speak with an intake counselor. They will answer your questions without making you admit yourself. My fear is that you see your anger as a problem and it could result in a situation you can't take back.
God gives us our emotions for a reason. Remember moses. He got so angry at the crowd that instead of speaking to the rock to produce water,He struck It out of anger.Because of that God told moses that he wouldn't enter Into the promised land. Could you control your anger In Church ? Because God's watching no matter where you are. But don't hold It in. Talk to God baout It He already knows anyway.Being angry causes bitterness. The Bible says that bitterness Is as rotteness to the bones. That's why some peolpe have arthritis.

Let it out, if you keep it inside you it will make you sick.
For instance, high blood pressure, heart disease, ulcers,
mental depression.
It is better to tell the person you are mad at and get it out in the open, you can do it in a constructive way,
then if they can't deal,
the pressure is off you, youv'e let it go, and can walk away if they
can't accept your anger, without a chip on your shoulder.
Believe me, you'll be much healthier, sometimes you have to
look out for No. 1.
not good , let it out Safely throw rocks as far as you can throw them punch a punching bag, see how far you can peddel on a bike, or if you don.t let it out you will pay for it the rest of your life.
Anger is not the problem, what we do with it is! Holding anger in makes for a very negative mood and irritable person who may have headaches, sour stomach, etc. If you hold it in you may let it out later when something bothers you. This may be expressing anger for one small thing when you are actually angry about several--then it all comes out as one big anger. A friend may get the anger for six situations instead of one. Discuss anger calmly--usually that means later, after you cool down. If you need a more immediate release what about exercise, writing, art?
Seriously, anger is a real feeling. There are good ways to release anger and bad ways to release it. If you're very angry about something, perhaps not saying anything at that moment would be good, give yourself time to think about whatever it is that's taking place. When you've thought it over, then approach the person and intelligently discuss the problem. This would be appropriate because you would be releasing it in a healthy way and you would be able to solve your problems effectively, quickly and keep you friendships and reputation in tact.

If you find your mood is generally not good, perhaps it's time for you to see your doctor. Some people do have mood disorders and need to be medicated.
I've heard that it is good to talk about it but me personally i let some things build up inside but ther are thngs you can't talk to people about cause they just wont understand but try to talk to someone really close to you it'll make you fell better.

open up a little is what i've always been told. its hard but it'll all work out for the best.!
Best way to deal with anger.let the person know how you feel about what they are doing while you are just annoyed. Do this at the beginning so you don't get pissed off after years of holding it in and snap. Honestly, I think people appreciate being told the truth right off the bat. Well I do at least.

Don't get me wrong though. You might know some people that are very sensitive to criticism. They would rather hear something nice than the honest truth..and those kind of people will probably get offended if you really express how you feel (not to say that's your fault). It all jsut depends on which friends you want to keep and how you want people to view you.the sincere but sometimes painfully honest person, or the nice guy that only tells people what they want to hear.
It is always best to tell people how they make you feel if it is upsetting you. if you are mad then you might want to hold off and tell them later or write it down .after you have thought it out. we usually say and do things we regret when we are upset. but the main reason to let it out is stress. holding in anger is Stress. and stress is serious. can effect all systems of the body.. check this site out. it should answer more of your questions regarding Stress and its long term effects. http://www.webmd.com/hw/emotional_wellness/ta4209.asp

I disagree with the majority here. Keep anger inside you. It will go away with time and you will actually forget about it. If you let it out, it will definitely affect other people in a negative way and there will be consequences. this leads angry people into trouble. Hold onto it, let it brew and then have the confidence to know it will go away and you will get stronger by not having to act it out. You will be able to help other angry people deal with their anger. Remember, tomorrow seems far away but it is just around the corner and offers a fresh start as long as you don't mess up the present!
