Can someone help me figure out my problem??

Question:
Okay. Soo. I've been having these chest pains like in my rib cage, frequent headaches, and lately its getting hard for me to breathe, like there's a lack of air. Lately, I've been REAAALLY stressed and depressed.. Does anyone know why im getting these pains and if it's related to my depression, etc.?

Answers:
It SOUNDS like stress, but don't take chest pains -- or any pains -- lightly. You MUST make an appointment with your regular doctor to rule out things like bronchitis, pneumonia, a mild form of flu, or any other number of bugs that stress can help facilitate because stress lowers your body's natural defenses.

If it is stress, better to know it so you can deal with it. Your doctor may prescribe a pill, or you can ask him/her to give you a doctor's note to take a leave of absense from work, which if you're insured through your job, would be paid leave because it's listed as a temporary disability. I think you can take up to three to six months off of work this way without being in danger of losing your job.

In any case, don't delay. Putting stuff off for fear of embarrassment causes greater problems down the line.

Hope this helps,

sounds like panic attacks or something similar, my son has them sometimes. I am sorry you feel so stressed ask your doctor they will take it seriously. got to the doc you may have pneumonia

sounds like anxiety attacks but you should be asking your dr.

they can be stress related. see doc/ emergency room asap. you may be suffering from more then you know. take care and all the best.

vague chest pains, frequent headaches and difficulty in breathing all associated with depression. they are called psychosomatic symptoms. upon all investigations it will prove negative bcoz its not in your body but in ur head.
yoga, breathig exercises and a hobby will really help

Could be depression, anxiety, asthma or any other number or combination of things. Hopefully your doctor can tell you. You should go see a doctor. They can run some tests to really find out what the problem is.You'd be surprised how the body reacts to stress. You could be having anxiety or even panic attacks.

Being really stressed is probably causing these problems. Try to relax a little. Take time out and do a face mask, have a bath etc. I'm assuming you're female.

Hope it goes away. If you're really worried about it, and in Australia, call the 24 Nurses hotline and make a query.

All the best.

it's better if u ask a doc sounds like you should see a doctor rather then ask us quacks

for depression.

ER for the rest. Get an xray. Panic attack is a good guess, depression also - less likely but still good. Hyperventilation is also on the list of "usual suspects".

Often these symptoms are caused by dehydration - a lessor known emergency room technique is to give the person 2 large glasses of water to drink.

So try that, if no relief, have someone drive you to a Dr or emergency room - DO NOT drive yourself.
