Is Californians banning smoking in Apartment Complexes too?

Question:

In California, people aren't allowed to smoke in restaurants, most public buildings, movie theaters and pretty much everywhere now .. I was curious if Apartment complexes across the State are banning people from smoking too? There are people who smoke cigarrettes out in their balconies and the smell travels up towards where I live. It's very disgusting and am planning on having kids in near future. I'm just worried about second hand smoke and what it can do to harm my future children and myself. Does anybody know?

i hope so,,, it bothers me as well since my nighbors downstairs smoke.. there is talk into banning smoking in appartments

Ketty.. its easy i'm upstairs. smoke travels UP. when they are out on there balcony there smoke travels UP to mine. simple. plain and simple.

anyways i just finished reading an article, they want to ban smoking compleatly in Santa cruz. they already banned it from the beach and public parks. there is also a small town somewere in california where its compleatly banned.

there is also people wanting to ban smoking in casinos in vegas.,,.. now to me thats just CRAZY all the casinos i been to have very good venting.

why should they ban smoking? they are taking peoples rights away from them..i would highly suggest that you move to lower grounds..or move out to the country..

then close your windows. Think the neighbors downstairs like it when they can hear you walk all over your apartment? Besides the smoke dissipates way too much for any ill effects. some of you Californians are way to PC. Instead of thinking only about yourself try thinking how your downstairs neighbor feels? This is really funny l am not a smoker also but l just can`t figure out this situation,how come Kitti nash you can smell the neighbors downstairs in the Apartment when they smoke,don't be silly please.

Then let's ban drinking alcohol as well. It kills more people every year than second hand smoke does.
