How many packs in a carton? (Smokers please)?

I was wondering how many packs of cigarettes are in one carton? I do smoke, and I figure it might be cheaper to buy the carton instead of individual packs. Please, don't say stuff like "thats a nasty habit" blah blah blah. No sarcasm please, either. Thanks.

there are 10 packs in a carton.it is cheaper to pay by the carton if possible.you figure a pack (in oklahoma city) of name brand like newport and marlborols cost 9.58 for two packs..now if you buy ten of them its about 50.00 and a carton is about 35.00-40.00 depending on where you go..and its even cheaper if you can get the 4-5.00 off coupons like i get..
