Headache...?

Question:
I have a REALLY bad headache. Usually taking pain meds for them doesn't help. What else can I try?

Answers:
If you are NOT in a situation where you have to limit caffeine, coffee or another caffeine drink combined with the pain killer could do the trick.

Depends on what is causing the headaches. If you get lots of them, get yourself to a doctor.

Is it on one side of the head? It could be a migraine.

If it is a sinus headache, sinus meds is what you need.

If it is a tension headache, you should try to get rid of whatever is causing the stress.

If it is not sinus, a good thing to do is take a couple of Tylenol PMs, turn off all the lights, place a warm washcloth across your eyes, and go to bed. Sometimes, you just need eight hours worth of sleep.

If it is sinus, do all the above, but take Benadryl sinus headache.. The active ingredient in that product, is the same as the active ingredient in most over the counter sleeping pills, and is the active ingredient Tylenol PM.

Diphenhydramine HCl

Good luck with your headaches.
What I usually do is set myself in a locked room, close the shades and any form of light and just take a nap.
If you're not sleepy, then what I suggest is put on some music, turn it down low, and just work your way through it.

Don't read, don't listen to anything loud, and don't try to think at all.
These can call for even more stress.
try herbal supplements.
