Intestinal Ablation in Newborns - any Information??

My niece was born with intestinal blockage. She's about a month old now and can't eat or void on her own. They said something about a transplant and intestinal ablation. can anyone please give me some information??

you have one day to live what would be your priorities?

Answers:
Intestinal ablation is a surgery performed to limit foot absorption. It's usually performed on obese people, but in your niece's case, probably necessary because of her other issue with not being able to void on her own.

here's a website that describes the procedure: http://www.freshpatents.com/Intestinal-ablation-to-limit-food-absorption-dt20060427ptan20060086362.php
