How can we help seniors who need so much but don't have the money?

Question:
Buying their expensive prescriptions and repairing their houses. There are some out there who barely make it. Also they are trying to take care of children and grand children. I try but it seems so hard to find those who might want to help. Sharon

Answers:
Good for you for wanting to help.

Check out local senior support programs in your area. There may be a senior citizen center nearby who would (a) appreciate your help and (b) connect you with other helping organizations.

You could also try the Salvation Army or the AARP.

In SF we have a program that sends out workers to do repairs on needy seniors' homes.

I'm a senior. You can help by sending me your generous check. Unless you're a tightwad like all the others. I don't want much. A couple thousand a year should do it. Thanks in advance for your generosity.

My grandmother is 93 and i can relate, shop around for generic prescriptions, try to get thier family involved in the repairs, habitat for humanity, i help all i can she did alot for me when i was younger.
