Numb Right Arm????

Question:
Has anybody with extensive computer use experienced arm and shoulder pain?? Did you receive physical therapy or just take pain meds.

Just curious, and in pain

Answers:
Yup, been there. I thought it was computer use also, but it turned out to be tension and stress.. the muscles contract, but don't DE-tract (or whatever the word is). Pain meds didn't help, nor physical therapy really either I don't think, however, I did discover that Lorazapam helped almost instantly. Was on that for a couple of weeks only and it was much better. Also ask your doctor for a muscle relaxant. I had the numbess in my forearm and down my middle fingers and shoulder pain. I think it just got better by itself, but the numbness is kinda scary isn't it? MRI came up slightly narrowed spinal canal, but nothing beyond the normal aging process. Good luck, I hope this helps as I had no idea what was going on either! And of course, see your doctor.
I have, try a warm/hot shower and a painkiller.
