At what time can I change out my belly button ring.?

Question:
I had it pierced 4 weeks ago. Does not hurt just alittle tender and there has never been very much drainage. The ring I have in now moves freely (this is the one that was put in at the time it was done.

Answers:
During the first 6 months do not change your belly button ring. If needed, have a professional piercer change it. Once completely healed you are free to change it whenever you like!.

Other Answers:
best to wait at least 4-6 months or you'll regret it; I know several people who thought it was all OK, but while the outside looks healed, it takes much longer for the inside to heal.
belly buttons take a very long time to heal. do not change it for at least 6 months. in fact don't even change it for about 8-9. it may seem healed at times, but trust me its never completely.. and by jabbing something in there you will open it back up again and again for awhile.
they don't completely heal until over a year
