Tweezers if they will do it. Squeeze at base of splinter and try to force it back out enough to grab it. Otherwise it must be cut out with sterilized knife of needle. It should be sterilized, covered with antibiotic cream, and dressed. Keep clean 2 days.

I agree with tweezers - my mum uses a needle but you have to poke about and have less control.

Best to disinfect them first, and your skin after.

If its tricky, soak your foot first to soften the skin. Hotish water may draw it.

Best advice however - if there is anyone you can get to help you, do that as its hard to get toes and hands close to your eyes!
