why can't humans fly?

Question:
i mean come on! why can't someone invente something to make us fly?

Answers:
I think that would be a dangerous area to step into really. I can't picture having all these people flying around everywhere in the air.. and can you imagine running into each other up there? People would be falling from the sky literally.lol. And we would have to get flying insurance for accidents we might cause..and then there would have to be the "DFP".Department of Flying People so to register ourselves in case we cause extensive damage to another when they fall to the ground.too much.

Other Answers:
Yes we can go jump off a building you'll see.

our bones aren't hollow and it would take huge wings to be able to lift us off the ground because this is a natural of human

cuz they dont have wings...hahaha

i can fly, im human

We weren't born with wings, we're not designed to fly! We fly in planes.

someone did invent something..lets see theres hang gliders, jet packs..oh and airplanes! yeah we can fly!!

If you have ever seen the movie "The Fly," you would know it has been proven an unsuccessful endeavor for humans. At least the high IQ, scientific type.

Because instead of calling you for money, you'd have telemarketers flying to your window. No one wants that. there is hang gliders and that kinds of stuff they have treid to invent stuff that will make us fly but they have all failed i guess we just are not smart enough yet

i believe its possible already just that its kept secret that no one knows.
come on , some superpower country's military is said to have technology 10 years superior to the rest of world. well, just imagine stealth technology was kept secret for how many decades before the rest of the world knows ? :)

I can't find a specific source right off the bat--
but flight takes a wingspan and muscle power that humans don't have without using airplanes.
I have included a link below that does give a basic explanation of how bird flight works.
