Muscle Twitches?

Question:
I get msucle twitches all over, I think they're called fascilations, and I went to a neurologist. He didnt do any testing, but he made me jump, tested my reflexes, and made me push my legs out while he pushed them in and he said it doesnt seem like anything to worry about. But im still worried! He wants me to get a EEG and MRI, but not an EMG and I heard the EMG was the test that tells what it could be.

Does anyone have these that can give me some advice?

Answers:
The tests your doctor did were simple yet in doing so he was able to rule out any type of neurological problems. Symptoms suggestive of a neurological cause of fasciculations include:
Wasting of muscle
Weakness
Other findings of nerve dysfunction
The tests he did eliminated any possibility of these so there is no need for an EMG, most likely your twitching is benign.

I also have the muscle twitches and for me an MRI gave me the results. Symptoms of Benign twitches (not caused by disease or disorders) include,
Often affecting the eyelids, calf, or thumb
Normal and quite common, often triggered by stress or anxiety
A diet deficiency
Drug overdose (caffeine)
Drug side effect (such as diuretics, corticosteroids and estrogens)
Exercise

Other Answers:
Exercise.Stretch your muscles.Get a massage. Relax with a bath. Any thing that will strengthen and relax those muscles.
Sometime when we have a lack of potassium or magnesium our muscles twitch. Also dehydration will do the same thing. Try some supplements.
i have the same problem ask your doctor about meripix
Would you like to try acupuncture? My colleague has this problem too and i encouraged her to go to a chinese physician for acupuncture.

After the first session (plus some medication), she said the twitching became less frequent and violent. She went for a second session last week, yesterday she mentioned she think she has fully recovered. (Still, i hope she will go for another one or two sessions)
