Epileptic laughing during fits?

Question:
I have a friend with suspected epilepsy. She's had it for around 6 months, but recently we've noticed that sometimes during fits she starts laughing - prime example the fit she had a few minutes ago, there was a definate laugh early on, and another later during it when I told a joke specifically to see if we would get a laugh.
Now to me this seems odd - does anyone know whether epileptics can actually laugh when having a full-on fit, or is it possible that she's having us on?

YES! I saw a woman on Discovery Health Channel who did that. Her family always thought she was fine and her humor was just a bit odd. Turns out she had epilepsy. Have her see a doctor plz!!

FIRST of all STOP calling them "FITS" !
They are NOT funny so use the correct term, seizures.
Yes, sometimes a person that has epilepsy does have uncontrollable laughter during a seizure.
