I am in Texas 9 hours away from home. How do I cure being homesick.?

also try find some good sex for your self and enjoy the life.
Make a list of all the things you are missing about your home. Then make a list of all the things you really like about where you are.

Then call home and tell them (if there is a "them" on your "missing" list) that you are missing them.

Then start working on duplicating (as much as possible) what you are missing - in your new location.

Or just go take a walk, or exercise in some way. That will help release the mild sorrow you are feeling.

I was in your position a year ago! No matter what I did, nothing felt familiar. Texas really is a whole different place, as people describe it to be.

If it makes you feel any better, I am 10-11 hours away from home and terribly homesick. It helps to have things to look forward to. The internet really helps too.

For me, it's hard to talk with my family/friends back home because I end up feeling like I am missing out on something. That's just me.

You're best bet is to plan things, keep busy. Having something to look forward to will pass time a bit faster.
