I have had tonsilitis over and over again. I need my tonsils removed, but my doctor keeps delaying...Why?

Sounds like you need to get another doctors opinion. I developed tonsilitis2 years ago and had it for a month before i decided that i had enough and went to the doctor (i hate Dr's so i dont go unless i'm about to die). they recomended that i have them removed immediatly. within a week of seeing the Dr for the 1st time about my tonsilitis they were being removed. also, your health insurance may not allow a procedure that big and costly and i've always heard that the Dr's dont really work for you but for your insurance company. get a second opinion. there is no need to be in pain when a simple procedure could clear your problem up for good. also...sorry, i keep thinking of new things...your age may prevent you from having the surgery (like maybe your too young - dont know if you are or not). sorry i couldn't be of more help.
Depends on your age. I was like you, but if you are in your teens, it is a surgery you are not going to get. Now-a-days, they try avoiding it all together, since drugs prevent a lot of the problems. A doctor will lean toward the medication before he will slice and dice, you should respect him for that.
I went through seven surgeries in six days, thanx to a slice happy doctor.
