and the dream thing, well there are Many different theories, nothing for sure.
According to the Freudian school, dreams are the result of
subconscious thoughts and desires. The other extreme attributes dreams
to random "noise" in the neurons without special meaning.

People actually dream when thay hit REM sleep. But the only part of the dream that is remembered is when they start to wake up. Its only the last few minuets that people remember what they were dreaming. People that dream the same thing may be tied somehow to something going on.

People have the same dreams because we are all human beings with similar experiences affecting our subconscious.
Scary dreams reflect subconscious fear. No one has no dreams...some people just don't remember them.

3. people have scary dreams when their bodies are under stress or they have some confidence issues. Its proven that unconfident people have more scary dreams.Sometimes when you have no dreams, you arent thinking before you go to bed, or you're too tired to prosess dreams
