How many people are actually taking anti-depressant. out there?
Question:
Answers:
Your friend is right. There are many people out there on anti-depressants and just as many more who SHOULD be but won't. I have been on them on and off since I was about 23 and I am 32 now. I am getting ready to go back on shortly and I will be taking Celexa. It isn't a sign of weakness it is a sign of strength to admit you have a problem with depression and seek the help you need. Depression is a disease, like diabetes or cancer, and you have to seek medical treatment to get better . End of story.

I am on lexapeo started taking it after a house fire had two pets die in it
Yeah, I take 2. I can't stand life without them and God. I would much rather be happy and swallow my pride than to keep it in and be miserable.
nope no way! don't take anything for my head problems . sorry i have a very strong head and like to keep it that way .
I do I have been on antis now for nearly 2 years and will more than likely be on them for life due to extreme childhood trauma I was not happy about this and I found it difficult to come to terms with but I am a much nicer caring person on medications than If I am not. I have alot of negative comments made either to me directly or about people taking this type of medication I now hold my head up and tell people how depression has affected my life and the life of my children. Since being on medication I am no longer a ranting mad woman thank goodness
I used to take Lexapro and I got more depressed (but the side effects depend on your body).
Now I take Prozac and Trileptol and I'm perkier than ever, happier than ever, but the side effects suck.
I don't condemn my anti-depressant use - I embrace it and love it. I had to begin taking it after a series of extremely horrific accidents in my life and I would refer anyone to a psychiatrist in a heartbeat and a therapist on a regular basis. I've lived with this for my entire life and Bipolar Disorder (BPD) is horrible - THANK GOD FOR ANTI-DEPRESSANTS!
I take Lexapro (an anti-depressant) for depression and panic disorder. The reason people frown on the use of these medications is because they have never experienced any illness that they help. If you haven't experienced something first hand, it is hard to understand, that's one reason you shouldn't judge.
prozac here
Real happiness and peace can be ONLY found in submitting to the commands of the Creator and the Sustainer of this world. God has said in the Qur’an: (Truly, in remembering God do hearts find rest.)
(Qur’an, 13:28)
On the other hand, the one who turns away from the Qur’an will have a life of hardship in this world. God has said:
(But whoever turns away from the Qur’an, he will have a hard life, and We will raise him up blind on the Day of Judgment.) (Qur’an, 20:124)
This may explain why some people commit suicide while they enjoy the material comfort money can buy. For example, look at Cat Stevens (now Yusuf Islam), formerly a famous pop singer who used to earn sometimes more than $150,000 a night. After he converted to Islam, he found true happiness and peace, which he had not found in material success.
