I drank a ton of coffee and tea as a child and I still turned out taller than my mother. The say coffee can stunt your growth - but there is nothing proven to say that. What is proven is that nutrition when you are a child is crucial to proper growth. Many of the reasons nutrition in England (in the schools) was overhauled in the early part of the 20th century was because in WWI - many of the recruits for the army had to be turned away because they did not meet the minimum 5 feet. Nutrition in England up until that point was poor, and only those in wealthier families tended to get a proper diet and thus reach a normal height.
