Must the medicine Concerta be taken every day or can a kid skip it on weekends?

Question:

Answers:
~All depends on whether or not you want it to be effective. If all else fails, duh, read the label -or- god forbid - ask your doctor. In the meantime, hope you don't do so much damage to the kid that the baby snatchers don't grab the kid over your neglect/abuse. Or, for the sake of the kid, hope they do.

I remember having to have our 11 yr old son take it, and it was every day. But personally, I would not keep my child on any of those so called add or adhd drugs if you didnt see a difference in a month or two. They are strong and have side effects like reducing a boys ability to grow properly.

Lack of concentration or anxiety/hyperactivity problems can stem from things such as family stress, problems, fears, worry, which can be solved in other ways.

Other times I believe kids, esp. boys, just are naturally active and rambunctious (try giving an active child lots of work, outdoor, indoor, and lots of praise).
